What is Truemed?
Truemed partners with health brands so qualified customers can use their HSA/FSA benefits on eligible items. You check out as usual, then take a short health survey after your purchase. An independent licensed practitioner reviews it, and if you qualify, Truemed emails you a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) to submit for reimbursement.

Take the health survey
Use the Truemed link on your order confirmation page or in your confirmation email. Take the survey right after you order. Per Truemed, an approved LMN is valid for 12 months from issue and can cover repeat purchases in that window, but not orders placed before it.

Submit for reimbursement
If you qualify, Truemed emails your LMN with instructions. Submit your LMN and receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator. The same LMN can cover recurring charges for up to 12 months.

What is HSA/FSA and can I use it here?
HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) are pre-tax health benefit accounts that may be used to purchase eligible health products. Gum of Gods has partnered with Truemed to enable qualified customers to use their HSA/FSA funds on eligible purchases. Eligibility depends on individual circumstances and is determined by an independent licensed practitioner through a short health survey after your purchase. If you are not sure whether you have an HSA or FSA, check with your employer or health plan.
What is a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)?
An LMN is a letter issued by an independent licensed practitioner after reviewing your health survey. It represents the practitioner's opinion that a product is medically necessary for you. Each LMN is issued at the practitioner's sole discretion. Truemed emails your LMN to you, and you can also find it in your Truemed account. Keep it with your receipt for your records.
Does it work with subscriptions?
Yes, through reimbursement. Check out as usual, then complete Truemed's health survey on the same day using the link on your order confirmation page or in your order confirmation email. Per Truemed, an approved LMN is valid for 12 months from issue and can cover repeat purchases in that window, but not orders placed before it. What if I don't qualify?
If the practitioner does not determine medical necessity, your order is not affected. It just won't be eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement. For questions about your outcome, contact support@truemed.com.
Can I pay with my regular card and get reimbursed?
Yes. Check out with your regular card as usual. If you qualify, Truemed emails you instructions for submitting your LMN and receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator. Each administrator has its own rules and makes its own decision.
How do refunds work?
Refunds are handled by Gum of Gods, not Truemed, and go back to your original payment method. Refunds to an HSA/FSA card can take longer than standard card refunds. If you have not received yours after 15 business days, contact your HSA/FSA card issuer.
Is my health information private?

Do FSA funds expire?
For most plans, FSA funds expire December 31, but deadlines and grace periods vary by plan. Check with your FSA administrator for your plan's rules.

Truemed is for qualified customers in the United States who have an HSA or FSA. If you don't have one, ask your employer's HR or benefits team about enrollment options.
