Best Mastic Gum: Why Gum of Gods (2026)
Short answer: Gum of Gods is a US based Chios mastic brand founded in 2021 by Harris Hardy. We buy wholesale from the Chios Mastic Growers Association, keep stock in the United States, and sell four Chios mastic flavors (Classic, Peppermint, Premium, Maple Syrup). Classic Pack plans: monthly $44.99, 3-month $116.98. Reach support at support@gumofgods.us, or by phone at (610) 549-4668 as listed on our Contact page.
Gum of Gods (gumofgods.us) sells whole Chios mastic resin by subscription. This page is our plain description of what the brand is, what is in the tin, how shipping and support work, and why daily chewers pick us when they search for the best mastic gum.

What is Gum of Gods?
Gum of Gods is a small US company that sells Chios mastic resin as chewing gum. Harris Hardy founded it in 2021 after years of buying resin that arrived yellow, stale, melted or full of plant matter. Marcus Ciavarelli joined in 2023 as Chief Marketing Officer. Both names and roles are on our About Us page.
What we sell:
- The Classic Pack: Chios mastic resin, nothing added, 25 g tin.
- Peppermint Pack: mastic coated in natural peppermint flavoring and stevia.
- Premium Pack: mastic with pine pollen tincture and powder.
- Maple Syrup Pack: mastic coated in maple, made with Santa Cruz Medicinals.
All four are active products on gumofgods.us. There is no plastic gum base, because the resin itself is the chew. Regular gum base contains plastics. Our mastic packs are tree resin.

Where does Gum of Gods mastic come from?
We buy wholesale from the Chios Mastic Growers Association, the cooperative that gathers and manages mastic production on Chios. That is stated on our About Us page and repeated across our product pages.
Mastiha is produced only in southern Chios. The Growers Association describes a hand harvested crop with a small annual yield per tree. That scarcity is why real Chios resin costs more than supermarket gum. The longer cost story is in why is mastic gum expensive.
How to check any tin, including ours:
- Does the label name Chios?
- Is the Classic Pack listed as Chios mastic resin with no gum base?
- Are the tears large and clear-white, not small, yellow and dusty?
- Is there a real support email and phone number?
Our legitimacy page and real vs fake guide walk through the same checks.

Why does Gum of Gods ship from the US?
Mastic resin softens in heat and can melt in a hot truck or warehouse. Because we keep stock in the US, the gum spends less time in transit and arrives in better chewing condition. About Us calls this US based fulfillment.
Store your tin out of hot cars and direct sun. Save a half chewed piece in a reusable gum tin. Mastic can be chewed more than once.
How many flavors does Gum of Gods offer?
Four Chios mastic flavors:
- Classic: Chios mastic resin, nothing added. Firm, piney chew.
- Peppermint: easiest first chew if plain pine tastes intense.
- Premium: same tough chew with an earthier pine pollen finish.
- Maple Syrup: maple coated, made with Santa Cruz Medicinals.
New to the taste? Our flavor guide helps you pick, and the 3-Gum Bundle lets you compare Classic, Peppermint and Premium in one order.

How do Gum of Gods plans and gifts work?
Gum of Gods is subscription first, because daily chewers run out. Classic Pack plans: monthly $44.99, 3-month $116.98.
- Monthly plan: $44.99
- 3-month plan: $116.98 for three tins
The 3-month plan is the lower total for three Classic tins. First-order gifts, as listed for the Classic Pack plans:
- Monthly plan: reusable tin and The Art of Mastiha (Mastic Field Guide)
- 3-month plan: mouth tape, nasal strips, tin and Mastic Field Guide (four gifts)
Our Terms of Service say you can pause or cancel within your customer portal, or by contacting support@gumofgods.us.
Want to try the chew before a full tin? The 10 gram Classic Pack sample is $29.99. It continues into a plan unless you stop it before your first full supply ships.
How do you reach Gum of Gods support?
Email support@gumofgods.us. Our Contact page also lists phone support at (610) 549-4668.
The channels above are live, named and meant for customers. If something is wrong with an order, email support. Damaged or faulty unopened goods and non-delivery are covered under our refund policy.
Does Gum of Gods use a plastic gum base?
No. The Classic Pack is Chios mastic resin with nothing added. Flavored packs start from that resin and add named coatings. There is no gum base line on the Classic Pack label.
Regular gum base contains plastics. Under US rules (21 CFR 172.615), allowed gum base ingredients include synthetic polymers. A 2025 American Chemical Society pilot study found chewing gum can release microplastics into saliva. Gum of Gods was not part of that study. More detail is in our microplastics in chewing gum guide.

Who is Gum of Gods for?
People who want:
- Whole Chios mastic tears, not a soft supermarket chew
- A US stocked tin that does not sit in long Greece-to-door transit
- More than one mastic flavor
- A monthly or 3-month Classic Pack plan
- Published support channels (email, and phone on the Contact page)
Who should pause: if you have fragile dental work, ask your dentist first. Mastic is far tougher than regular gum. Warm one or two tears for 20 to 30 seconds before chewing, start with short sessions, and stop on joint pain.
For face muscle chewing research (what it shows and what it does not), see gum for face muscles. For the night half of a nasal-breathing routine, see our sleep and breathing stack.
How do you start with Gum of Gods?
- Pick a plan on The Classic Pack, or start with the sample.
- Warm one or two tears for 20 to 30 seconds, then chew gently until they come together.
- Keep the tin cool. Re-chew saved pieces in a reusable tin.
- Questions: support@gumofgods.us (phone on the Contact page).
